NOT ALL THAT IT SEEMS
You know already how fashionable the jerkin-dress is—or any dress with the equivalent of a sleeveless jacket slipped over it. But perhaps your remnant drawer may not run to so big a piece of fabric. So try jerkinfront only, up to the neck, to the shoulder seams, outlining round the front of the armhole, then sewn in with the side seam to waist or hip and you will have as distinguished a dress as you could wish.
