GREYTOWN

CROQUET LOCAL CLUB'S ACTIVITIES. ("Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Greytown Croquet Club was held in the Park Pavilion yesterday afternoon. Mrs H. G. Carter presided. A letter of sympathy is to be sent to Mrs Reid, who is in hospital. It was decided to hold the annual meeting at the residence of Mrs H. G. Carter on May 27. A euchre party to raise funds for the club is ,to be held at the residence of Mrs A. Haigh in June, the date to be decided later. Donation of Fruit. Recently the Greytown Fruit Growing Company forwarded 6 cases of apples to Mrs Love, at Lower Hutt, for patriotic purposes. The company has been advised that as the result of these being auctioned a sum 6f £lB was realised. This money is being used for the purpose of sending comforts to Maori soldiers overseas.
