MEETING OF WAIRARAPA COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES TO CONTINUE. EXPERIMENTAL WORK SCHEME. The annum meeting ei the district committee of Wairarapa Young Farmers’ Clubs was held yesterday afternoon, Mr W. James, president, being in the chair. The annual report, which lias already appeared in the “Times-Age." was adopted. A satisfactory financial position was disclosed. Officers were elected as follow: — Patron. Mr G. H. Perry; president, Mr W. James: vice-president, Mr G. Blatchford: executive, Messrs G. E. Alien, J. L. Heckler (advisory members), W. Heckler. H. Cooper, J. Rose. V. Gatos. B. Dick, E. Bellis (active members); secretary. Mr N. Lamont; hon. treasurer, Mr if. M. Boddington; delegates to Wellington Provincial Council. Messrs W. James, G. Blatchford and J. Rose. It was agreed to continue with the usual educational activities of clubs throughout "the district, such as the debating, judging and essay competitions. Mr Lamont outlined a proposed scheme whereby the Young Farmers' Clubs would assist, the Department of Agriculture in carrying out experimental work in the district. Al a meeting of the executive it was decided to ask the following to act as co-opted member".: —Messrs W. F. McLaren IT. Bennett. ,f. M. James, Jas. Andrew. 11. McKenzie. A. Heckler and 11. Bibby.
