SOUTH FEATHERSTON

EUCHRE PARTY & DANCE WINNERS OF COMPETITIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance at the euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall on Thursday night. Udy’s Orchestra supplied the music for the dancing and extras were played by Miss G. Fraser. The duties of M.C. were capably carried out by Mr H. Graham. A Monte Carlo waltz competition was won by Miss J. Wyeth and E. Matthews. The winners of the cards were: —Ladies: Mrs L. Boyd, 1; Mrs Simmonds, 2. Men: Mr L. Boyd, 1; Mr Thurston, 2. The cot donated by Mrs Jepson was won by Joyclyn Kiddie, Carterton, and an apron donated by Mrs J. Jepson Junr. was won by Joan Marshall, Featherston. Personal. Mr D. Robertson, of South Featherston, is spending a holiday in Palmerston North. Mrs Robertson has returned home after a short holiday spent in Wellington. Mr C. J. Baker, of Hastings, is the guest of Mr I-I. W. Willis, South Featherston.
