WEDDING

MOULDEY—SPICER. The marriage took place at Knox Church, Masterton, recently, of Iris Lillian, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. E. Spicer, of Short Street, Masterton, and Henry (Jack) Mouldey, eldest son of Mr and Mrs G. H. Mouldey, of Carterton. The Rev. John Davie officiated and Mr C. W. Kerry presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father wore a beautiful gown of white brocaded satin beaute made in a fitting style with a small train. She wore a lovely embroidered veil with a halo of orange blossom, and carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums, lilies and maidenhair fern.

She was attended by her niece, Miss Eileen Carter, of Taumarunui (chief bridesmaid) and by Miss Peggy Allan, of Greytown .The bridesmaids looked charming in frocks of shot taffeta made on similar lines, Miss Carter’s being petunia with pale mauve veil and gloves and Miss Allen’s green with veil and gloves to match. They both' carried shower bouquets of miniature dahlias and maidenhair fern. The best man was Mr Maurie Hunt and the groomsman Mr Mack Turnbull, both of Masterton. During the signing of the registei- a solo, “I- Love You Truly” was sung by Mrs S. H. Spicer. As the bride left the church she was presented with a silver horseshoe by her niece, little Thelma Spicer. A reception was held at the Cosy Tea' Rooms where about fifty guests, including visitors from Wellington, Taumarunui and Alfredton were, received by the bride’s mother who wore a navy ensemble with a shoulder spray to tone. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, who wore a green frock with black coat and hat and spray to tone. Later the happy couple left for the north, the bride wearing a powder blue frock and coat with navy accessories. Theii’ future home will be in Masterton.
