GREAT SAVINGS IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 21. Household salvage has already saved Britain 00 shiploads of paper and enough metal to build 20,000 tanks. The Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply revealed these figures at the opening of Reading’s “paper drive,” one of many planned by the Ministry of Salvage Department to stimulate the collection of paper, metal and bones.
