RIVERSIDE CLUB GAMES SEASON’S FIRST MATCHES. PLAY IN FINE WEATHER. Golfers were favoured with bright sunshine for the first match of the season on Saturday afternoon and the outing of the Riverside Golf Club was enjoyed by those taking part. The men's sealed net score was won by H. Guy, a new member, and the ladies’ round by Miss R. Bradley. During the weekend two stableford matches were played, the first being won by D. Grimwood 36, J. Lulham and R. Wearne, runners-up 32. The second match was won by A. McKenzie 35, R. Bell 34 being runner-up.
MAHUNGA RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S PLAY. The best cards returned for the bogey round played on Saturday by members of the Mahunga Golf Club were: —P. Hawksworth, 2 up; N. Bach, 2 down; V. E. Burridge, 4 down; R. B. McPherson, 4 down; A. O. Jones, 4 down; M. Thornton, 4 down. MASTERTON CLUB FOURBALL BOGEY COMPETITION. ■ A fourball bogey competition was played by members of the Masterton Golf Club. Drs. J. C. Forsyth and N. H. Prior won the event, 3 up.
