FEATHERSTON

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting ol the Kahi.ttara Women’s Institute, Mrs Elbe presided over a fair attendance ot members. One new member-was welcomed. Arrangements were made for the fifth birthday of the Institute, to be held in May. A bring and buy stall proved very successful. Major and Mrs Dick, of the Whatman Home, Masterton, gave interesting talks which were much appreciated. Mrs Elbe presented Mrs Dick with a posy. The competitions resulted as follows: —Best jar of apple chutney: Mrs D. Fenwick 1, Mrs Elbe 2. Best bloom: Mrs Pope 1, Rogers 2. The hostesses were Mesdames Pepe, Harland, T. Hood and Miss Corlet.
