CENTRAL SCHOOL
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION MEETING ARRANGEMENTS FOR SEASON’S DANCES. A meeting of the Central School Parents' Association committee was held last evening, Mr W. Emerson presiding over a full attendance.. The treasurer's report on the past year’s work was read. The report showed that the finances of the association were in a very healthy condition.
Three new members of the committee, Mr and Mrs Malmo and Mr Reynolds, were welcomed. The arrangements for the season's fortnightly old time dances were completed and strong sub-committees were set up to carry out the necessary details of work required. It was decided to have suitable forms and seats made for use in the assembly hall and to present these to the school.
All arrangements for the opening dance this Saturday with Barnes’s full orchestra were completed, and the committee has every reason to believe that the coming season’s dances will be equally if not more successful than those held in the past year.
