AIR OPERATIONS

ATTACK ON DODECANESE. GERMAN PLANE SHOT DOWN AT MALTA. Many direct hits on an' aerodrome were scored in an R.A.F. raid on the Dodecanese Islands, where a large petrol fire was started, the 8.8. C. states. On Thursday night a number of German planes attacked Malta. There wore no casualties or serious damage. One enemy plane was shot down by anti-aircraft gunfire.
