Following the conversion of the 7886-ton freighter Mormacmail into an experimental aircraft-carrier, it is reported than an additional 30 may bo converted to assist, in British operations against bombers preying in the North Atlantic.

It is said the carrier is designed to carry fighter planes and also pursuit planes which would locate and attack submarines.

The Mormacmail was a standard C 3 type vessel, many of which are available and would take only 45 days to convert into carriers, capable ci' carrying about 30 planes.
