D. STEVENS WINS SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.
The annual Wairarapa College crosscountry runs took place from the Masterton Park Oval yesterday afternoon. Conditions were ideal. The senior and junior races were for cups donated by the Masterton Harrier Club.
The senior course was of 3.7 miles and the junior 3 miles. The events were efficiently controlled by officials from the College staff. Results are as follow:—
Senior.—D. Stevens. 1; N. W. Jacobsen. 2: Q. Schofield, 3. Time. 23min. 18 l-ssecs.
Intermediate—B. Matthews. 1: R. Skews, 2; H. Russell, 3. Time. 19min. 11 2-ssecs.
Junior. —F. O’Brien. 1; V. Dick, 2; I. Gilliland, 3. Time, 18min. 55 3-ssecs.
