OBITUARY

MRS F. A. WILLIAMS. Th.e death occurred al Greytown on Friday of Mrs Frances Annie Williams, a well known resident of the South Wairarapa. The deceased, who was the second daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Feast, married the late Mr James Richard Williams, of "Bleak House,” Kaiwaiwai, who predeceased her many years ago. The deceased was very popular amongst a wide circle of friends, and rendered splendid patriotic service in the Great War. No children survive her. Mrs George Valentine, of Ngaio, Wellington, is a sister, and Mr A. E. Feast, of Kahutara, Featherston, a brother. The funeral service, which took place at the Featherston Cemetery on Saturday, was conducted by Canon J. H. Sykes, Greytown. Football Club. The annual meeting of the Greytown Football Club will tane place on Tuesday. April 15, at 8 p.m. Personal. Mrs R. G. Vile has left to spend the Easter holidays at Wanganui. Home Guard. The necessity of having an ambulance section with the Home Guard was

illustrated on Sunday when one of the Greytown members had the misfortune to run a rusty screw into his foot He was promptly attended to and taken to the Greytown Hospital for further treatment. The ambulance section especially wish to thank Mrs N. F. Skeet for her assistance.
