GOLF CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Greytown Golf Club was held in the Odd Fellows’ Hall on Monday. Mr J. Kiernan occupied the chair and there were 20 members present. The president (Mr J. Kiernan) in his report stated, that the past year had been a successful one. The year commenced with a credit balance of £29 16s lid and closed with a credit balance of £l3 4s 9d. Improvments to the golf house had cost £32 Os lid. Thanks were expressed to Messrs E. Williams and T. Nelson for their great assistance in improving the golf house.
It was reported that four members were on ac",'e service and that several more were in camp.
Thanks were recorded to the ladies, to those who had donated trophies, tc the secretary, Mr L. Curtis, Mr A. G. Peterson, treasurer, Mr W. Tully, auditor, and the Press. The president especially thanked Mr and Mrs F. C. Bunnv for the use of the links and also for tneir generous assistance.
The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Mr J. F. Thompson (re-elect-ed); president, Mr J. Kiernan (re-elect-ed); vice-presidents, Messrs J. C. Feast, and E. Williams; club captain, Mr 11. R. Feast; secretary, Mr L. Curtis; treasurer, Mr A. G. Peterson; match committee, Messrs E. Maddison and. S. Shedden; green committee. Messrs F. C. Bunny. S. Sh.edden and H. G. Carter; general committee, Messrs H. G. Carter, I-J. R. Feast, E. Maddison, T. G. R. Ingley, S. Shedden .and H. W. Feast; auditor, Mr W. Tully. The subscription for the year was reduced by 5s for full-time members. The opening of the season was fixed by’ the committee for April 19.
