CONTROL LAWS IN PANAMA FOUND OPPRESSIVE. CHARGES OF ESPIONAGE. | (By Telegraph-—Press Association—Copyright,’ | (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) TOKIO, April 4. A majority of the 800 Japanese merchants and fishermen residing in Panama have decided to evacuate owing to the Republic's strong anti-Japanese oppression since the recent adoption of foreigners' control laws. The Domei Agency’s Los Angeles correspondent says some Japanese are being imprisoned, charged with espionage, for which reason the Japanese are no longer able to reside in Panama.
