IMPRESSED LORRIES

LARGE NUMBER PASS THROUGH MASTERTON. PARTICIPATION IN MANOEUVRES-. Much public interest was aroused this morning when a large number of impressed motor vehicles, driven by soldiers, passed through Queen Street, travelling north. The lorries passed through the town between 9 and 11 a.m. and altogether there must have been 125 to .150 of them. Apparently, they were en route to a point of assembly in order to take part in army manoeuvres, which are scheduled to commence immediately.
