ARMY QUEEN i ' GRAND COMMUNITY SING. OPERA HOUSE TONIGHT. It is anticipated that the Open House will be filled to capacity lonigh when New Zealand’s well-known com munity sing leaders, Mr. Frame Crow ther and Mr. Wintson McCarthy wil lead a grand community sing. Tin assisting artists will be Miss Olga Bur ton, a charming lyric soprano, and Mr Ken Macaulay, the widely knowi radio and concert vocalist. Bids for the fluj may be telephoned to No. 1160’. in conneciion with -all Arm,-.- Queen rail’ll tickets, Mr. Hayden, of the State Kitchenette, requests that these be returned to him not later than noon to morrow. Yesterday morning, the Tren.lharr Band visited the Masterton Haspils and delighted the patients with a programme of bright music. The secretary, Mr. Norman Lee. and the Matron Miss Barnet!, expressed their sincere thanks to 'the band for the visit. The band then marched through the town and despite the torrential rain, a large crowd turned cut to wish it au re-roir.
