OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
HARVEST WORKERS (To the Editor.) Sir,—ln reply to “Fair Play,” I would suggest that this esteemed union official of whom he speaks, state his case (if he has one) instead of getting someone else to talk for him behind a nom-de-plume. As a loyal unionist all my life, I am disgusted to see unionism descending to the depths of collectors demanding 25s union fee for ten days’ work, in spite of the fact thabmen are financial members in two unions at the time. Where is the justice? Where is the fair play here? Sir. I wonder if truculent is the word or was it used for the want of a stronger one? Thanking .you for this indulgence. ---I am, etc.. E. J. ESLER.
