SCHOOL PICNIC WINNERS OF RACES. ("Times-Age” Special.) The Featherston School was lucky in having ideal weather for the annua) picnic which was held at Tauherenikau Racecourse yesterday. At a meeting of tjie Home Guard 23 rifles were handed in by their owners for use of the Home Guard, under police supervision. Any rifles not hitherto registered may be handed in without question. An urgent appeal for more rifles is made. Several recruits were enrolled.
