FEATHERSTON
LATE MR MCCARTHY VERDICT AT INQUEST. (‘•Times-Age” Special.) At an. inquest held in Featherston on Saturday afternoon, concerning the death of James Harcourt McCarthy, farm contractor, who was found dead in his whare at Fernside on Saturday morning the District Coroner, Mr. T. E.< Lang, returned a verdict of death from coronary thrombosis. The inquest was conducted by Constable A. McLeod, of Featherston. Memorial Service. There was a large attendance of Scouts, Cubs, Guides and Brownies at the special service yesterday of the late Chief Scout, Lord Baden-Powell, held in St. John's Church. The lesson was read by Mr G. A. B. Hoby and the preacher was the Rev. T. V. Pearson.
