The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meterological Office, Wellington, at noon today:—
GENERAL SITUATION: A disturbance lies across the South Island.
FORECAST: North-westerly winds mainly fresh in force but with gales in exposed positions. Weather fair to fine and warm.
FURTHER OUTLOOK: Scattered rain developing in the ranges and possibly in Northern Wairarapa.
