OBITUARY
MR D. ROBINSON, The death occurred in the Maslerlon Hospital this morning of a well known Masterton resident in the person of Mr Dan Robinson. He was about as usual yesterday and was taken suddenly ill, being removed to the Masterton Hospital. He was born in Dunedin, being the son of the late Mr and Mrs Alex. Robinson, of Masterton. A printer by trade, he had lived most of his life in Musterton. He saw service in the Great War. being wounded on the Western front early in 1918.
The late Mr Robinson took a keen interest in sport. He was one of the members who re-formed the Red Star Football Club in 1905 and was an official and player for some years. In his youth he was on the printing staff of tiv “Wairarapa Star" and later was with the "Wairarapa Daily Times," subsequently being associated with the Government Printing Office in Wellington. He had lived in Masterton in recent years. Possessing a genial nature, deceased was very popular with his friends, who will learn of his death with feelings of deep regret. The late Mr Robinson was a single man and leaves five brothers and a sister. The funeral will lake place tomorrow leaving St. Patrick's Church following Requim Mass at 9 a in. for the Maste r t on C e met er y.
