PLUNKET APPEAL
HOUSE TO HOUSE COLLECTION,
OPENING ON FEBRUARY 10.
In accordance with the police it has pursued for several years past, the Masterton branch of the Plunket Society is about to make a direct appeal, by means of a house to house collection, for the funds it must have in order to carry on its valuable and indispensable community work. In spite of all the demands ijow being made on the public, it is widely and freely recognised that it is more than ever important that the work of the Plunket Society in its care of mothers, infants and pre-school children should be maintained and developed with full vigour. In war conditions the demands made on the society and its nurses are in some respects enlarged and extended.
An excellent response was made to the house to house appeal of the Masterton branch last year, and it is anticipated that as good a response will be made in this year’s collection, which is to open on February 10. Some must encouraging assurances of support have already been received.
