E.P.S. TRAINING
INSTRUCTION IN SPECIAL DUTIES.
The need for placing the E.P.S. organisation. on a proper footing was stressed at a meeting of the Masterton Emergency Prevail lions- Comm i t tee last night. Mr, J. c. D. Markley considered that the various E.P.S. committees should be called together and advised as to their exact duties, a course which the Mayor, Mr. T, Jordan supported. Referring to parades of the E P.S. drill units. Mr. H. W. Lindsey said the majority of men had done years of drill, but so far they had received no instruction as to their duties as E.P.S. units. The men. he asserted, were keen to knew something of these duties, but if they continued to be given ordinary drill instruction a falling off in the numbers attending parades could be expected. Ho considered the scheme should be put on a proper footing at once. Messrs. .Markley and R. Why born undertook to call their committees together fur the purpose Indicated as soon as possible, and it was considered others should do likewise,
