ACCIDENT VICTIM
DEATH OF MR C. C. JUDGE. The death occurred at the Masterton Hospital on Saturday night of Mr Charles Colyer Judge, of Masterton. who received serious head injuries as the result of a collision between two motor vehicles at Akura on Saturday, December 7. An inquest was opened yesterday before the District Coroner, Mr E. G. Eton. After evidence of identification had been given, the inquest was adjourned sine die. Late Mr C. C. Judge was a resident of Masterton for the past eight years, and became well known to the farming community of the Wairarapa through his work as a traveller for the International Harvester Co. Previous to this he had been stationed in Levin, coming there from the South Island. He had always been a keen ci'icketer and as recent as 1934 he was a member of the Masterton Old Boys’ cricket team which won the senior competition and the Bidwill Cup that year. He was born in Kent, England, sixtyfive years ago and before leaving for New Zealand in his early twenties had won many field events at sports gatherings in the Homeland. He is survived by his wife, one son, Mr C. R. Judge (Timaru) and one daughter, Mrs A. A. Cox (Ashburton). The funeral took place this afternoon.
