PERSONAL
The Hon. P. C. Webb, PostmasterGeneral, is on a visit to Wanganui. The Hon. F. Langstone, Minister of Lands, is expected to return to Wellington from Auckland today. Mr Charles A. Noble, first assistant, has been appointed principal of the Christchurch West High School. The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of National Service, returned to Wellington from the South Island yesterday morning.
The Hon. H. G. R. Mason. AttorneyGeneral, left Wellington yesterday for Wanganui. He expects to return to Wellington today. Major F. H. Lampen, D. 5.0.. will be the speaker at the Wairarapa College break-up ceremony tomorrow night. The death of Baron Bruno Schroder, senior partner of The firm of Schroder & Co., Leadenhall Street, is reported in a cablegram from London. Mr C. Meachen, secretary of the Wellington branch of the St John Ambulance Association and of the Children’s Health Camp at Otaki, has 'returned from a visit to Australia.
