INSPECTED BY SIR C. NEWALL. PRAISE FOR MAORI BATTALION Units of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force were inspected at their headquarters in Southern England yesterday. the 8.8. C. states, by Sir Cyril Newall, Governor-General designate of New Zealand. Sir Cyril, who was accompanied by Lady Newall. was entertained by a New Zealand pipe band and took the salute from the Maori Battalion. He commented'on the smart appearance of the battalion on parade.
