The Governor-General and Lady Galway, attended by Captain Lord Dormer, A.D.C., left Wellington by car yesterday to pay farewell visits to Hastings, Napier and Gisborne. Subsequently their Excellencies will go into residence at Government House, Auckland.
The Hon. P. C. Webb, Minister o: Mines, returned to Wellington yesterday from Motueka,
The Hon. R. Semple, Minister for National Service, is expected to return to Wellington today from the South Island. The Hon. H. T. Armstrong, Minister of Housing, who is visiting Auckland expects to return to Wellington toward the end of the week. The Hon. F. Langstone, Minister of Lands, left Wellington for Auckland by the Limited express last night. He will return to Wellington tomorrow. The Rev. S. W. Webber, Otorohanga, has been appointed moderator of the Waikato Presbytery in place of the Rev. J. H. Combes, who has been called to Pahiatua.
There is no change in the condiion of Mr Charles Calyer Judge, who was admitted to the Masterton Hospital as a' result of injuries received in a motor accident on Saturday night. Dr. J. A. Loan, Wellington, and the Rev. J. D. Johnston, Edgecumbe, Bay of Plenty, are to join the staff of the New Zealand Presbyterian Mission in South China, and it is expected that they will leave New Zealand early in February.

L. Palmer, A. J. Rigg. H. S. Hart, L. A. Hill A. W. Caldwell. W. Bacon, G. W. Guthrie, G. L. Giesen. L. I-I. Wood and H. C. Murray.
Of the five Catholic priests, all of them students of St. Patrick’s College. Wellington, who were ordained at Meanee in 1911, three have since died, and in each case death occurred in Australia. This was mentioned yesterday by one of the five, the Rev. Father J. J. Cullen, S.M., at present on the staff of St. Mary of the Angels, in Boulcott Street, who is about to leave for Australia (his first visit) to take up a teaching appointment at St. John's College. Lismore. New South Wales. The five priests referred to were the Rev. Fathers. T. B. Segrief. J. J. Heirring, J. J. Fraher, J. J. Cullen and J. J. Monaghan, all members of the Society of Mary. The first three have passed away.
