HEART-TO-HEART APPEAL SUCCESSFUL PATRIOTIC BAZAAR. i (“Times-Age” Special.) I The patriotic bazaar held in aid of] the Heart-to Heart Appeal was a decided success. The assistance of the ladies of Rakaunui and Waione, in taking charge of the stalls, was much appreciated. The side-shows, under the control of Mr R. Merrie and party from Pahiatua, were a great attraction. The competition winners were: Cake (made and presented by Mrs R. Meech), Mrs C. P. Hunter; child’s dinner waggon (made and donated by Mr R. J. T. Scott), Mr G. Sheard, who redonated it: this was finally bought by Mr A. R. Mason; turkey, Joan Harold; heifer calf, Miss E. Matthews; child’s dinner waggon, Josephine Ruskell; tin of preserved eggs, Mrs Russel-Bunn; pet lamb, A. P. Campbell; ham. Mrs Ernest Berry; child’s Morris chair (donated by Mrs Mayman), Baby Gus Meech; duck, Mi’ Charles Leach; china tea set, Mrs S. W. Eunson; stockings, Mrs H. Herbert; hair-pin work set, Mrs M. Dillon; 51bs tea (donated by Mr and Mrs J. McKay), Miss H. Hansen; 51bs tea, Mr R. Merrie; horse (given by Mr W. Pickett), Mr H. Herbert; sheep guessing, Mr R. C. Scott.
