ST. CUTHBERT’S CHURCH ANNUAL SALE OF WORK. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the annual sale of work conducted by the Ladies' Auxiliary of St. Cuthbert’s Church there was an attractive display of handwork, produce, etc., which found ready buyers. The effort proved very successful. The stallholders were:—Guild stall, Mesdames Murray-Ansley and Coster; produce. Mrs Gray and Miss A. Summers; cakes. Mrs Simmers and Miss A. Anderson; sweets, Mrs Bouzaid; fruit salad. Mesdames Fauvel, Toohill and Koce; mystery parcels, Mrs Albrechtsen; also assisting were Mesdames Ives. Tolley, S. Daniel and Gaskin. The competition winners were:—Tea cosy, Mrs L. V. Russell IHamua); dinner, Mrs J. Davis (Newman); supper cloth, Mr P. Bouzaid. The winner of the cake will be announced later.
PATRIOTIC FUNDS NIREAHA EFFORT. The following list covers in the main the result of the Nireaha Committee’s effort in a canvas of the district and in connection with the patriotic fair. In all the total raised by Nireaha amounted to £124 ss, and this, together with other amounts, brings the total received to date io £494 Is 9d.
