ALFREDTON

PERSONAL ITEMS ("Times-Age” Special.) Mrs W. Hood, who has been a patient in the Pahiatua Hospital, is now staying with her sister, Mrs H. Burch. The Tiraumea Hall was filled to overflowing when Mr and Mrs Geof. Curtis entertained their many friends on the occasion of the 21st birthday of Mr Desmond Curtis. A large crowd was in attendance when the people of the district met to farewell the following soldiers who are on leave: E. Olsen. W. Pearson, R. Smith and Russell-White. Mrs G. Houlbrooke and Mr A. Rowden provided the music for the dancing, and a most enjoyable time was spent.
