NEW ZEALAND PASSENGERS AND CREW. NEXT-OF-KIN NOTIFIED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. In response to an inquiry last evening the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, said that the next-of-kin, of passengers and New Zealand members of the crew on board the vessel which was the victim of enemy action on Wednesday were notified of the occurrence before the announcement, published in the Press on Thursday. The Postmaster-General, Mr. Webb, said last evening that no mails were dispatched in the vessel in question, apart from one bag containing 41b. weight of consignees’ letters.
