SESSION NEARLY OVER
PREMIER EXPECTS END NEXT WEEK REMAINING ITEMS OF BUSINESS. OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS WAR REGULATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association J WELLINGTON, This Day. The business to be dealt with by the House of Representatives before Parliament is prorogued till next year wa: outlined by the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser. He said it was hoped to end the session next week unless something totally unexpected cropped up tc prevent it. The Prime Minister said it was intended on Tuesday afternoon to take the Sea Carriage of Goods Bill, the Mokau Harbour Bill and the Agriculture! Emergency Regulations Confirmation Bill. There seemed to be a general desire for an opportunity for r discussion on lhe Marketing Department’s report, and this would be given on Tuesday night. A Finance Bill would probably be introduced that day. Two petitions would be discussed on Wednesday, when the debate on the Finance Bill would also be taken. On Thursday afternoon the Waitara Harbour Bill would be dealt with, and the secret session to enable members to hear and discuss the latest developments in connection with the country’s war effort would be held at night. The war regulations could be discussed on Friday, a promise having been given that there would be an opportunity for such a discussion. An Opposition member: “Will that be the finish of the session?” Mr Fraser: “Yes.”
