FEATHERSTON
SCHOOL ASSOCIATION MONTHLY MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The Home and School Association’s monthly meeting was presided over by Miss Card. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Carlyon, Halpin. Saunders and Mr. N. C. C. Shepherd. An invitation was received from Mr. J. E. Willett to the calf judging on December 3 Co-operation was asked in providing refreshments. It was decided that the ladies of the Home and School Association and the school committee provide tea. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. and Mrs. Lowell and Messrs J. W. and R. Holland for having conducted the weekly euchre parties. Military Staff Dinner. The staff dinner which was held at Tauherenikau Training School on Wednesday night was followed by a concert. The Hutt concert party did not arrive owing to their conveyance breaking down. So the men in camp provided the items which were much enjoyed. After supper Major J. M. Reidy thanked the men for their effort and expressed his gratitude to the ladies of Featherston and the surrounding districts for having entertained the men while in camp at Tauherenikau. The camp will break up on Saturday.
