“NATIVE FASCISTS”
ACTIVITIES IN UNITED STATES ALLEGATIONS BY CABINET MINISTER. RELATIONS WITH LATIN AMERICA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.20 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 21. The Secretary of the Interior (Mr. Harold Ickes), in a speech, said “the native Fascist group,” including Colonel Lindbergh and Father Coughlin, are trying to disturb the relations of the United States with Latin America. He made the charge that a Nazi group in Los Angeles in September, chose Colonel Lindbergh for the Presidential candidacy. “I don’t say,” he added, that Colonel Lindbergh accepted or was even consulted about this precious gift. I am merely stating a significant fact.”
