The programme which is a lengthy one is well balanced. The opening chorus will be sung at 8 o’clock. The dressing and staging will be a feature of the revue. Memorial Square. Many complimentary remarks have lately been passed by visitors to Carterton concerning Carterton’s beauty

spot, the Soldiers' Memorial Square. At the present time the roses are in full bloom and make a very pretty sight, combined with the trees which were planted many years ago by the late Mr Parker, who was an enthusiastic horticulturalist, and who was in his day a very successful show exhibitor. The caretaker, Mr R. Priest, is deserving of a word of praise for the manner in which he keeps the garden and grounds in order.
