CARD PARTY IN AID OF PATRIOTIC FUNDS. ("Times-Age" Special.) An enjoyable time was spent at a bridge and 500 card tournament held in the Red Cross Society’s rooms yesterday afternoon. The cake donated by Mrs Lawson was won by Mrs McKenna. Personal Items. Mr H. Lawson left yesterday for the Marlborough Sounds on a fishing trip. Mrs M. Tulloch is visiting Wellington, where she is staying with her daughter, Mrs D. Edwards. Winner of Rug. The knitted rug made and donated by Mrs H. Lawson was won by Miss J. Goodrick.
