CROQUET BUTTONS WIN FOR HAUNUI TEAM. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following is the result of the game played for the Association’s Gold Buttons (A grade) between the Masterton and Haunui croquet teams:— Mesdames Saunders and Hyland (Haunui) defeated Mesdames Bassett and Polson (Masterton), 26-19. In an inter-club B grade match between Haunui and Featherston the results were as follow, Featherston players being mentioned first in each instance:—Singles: Mrs Batchelor defeated Mrs Harkness, 26-23; Mrs R. Donald beat Mrs Davis, 26-8; Mrs K. Donald lost to Mrs White, 11-26; Mrs Benton beat Mrs Card, 26-22. Doubles: Mesdames K. Donald and L. Benton beaf Mesdames White and Card, 26-11; Mesdames R. Donald and Batchelor beat Mesdames Davis and Harkness, 26-7. Personal Items. Mrs V. Riddiford. Lower Hutt, is the guest of Mrs Chas. Elgar, Fernside. Mrs Hockard, who had the misfortune to fall and break an arm some weeks ago, is making satisfactory progress towards recovery.
