BANK MANAGER RETIRES

FAREWELLED BY STAFF. GATHERING IN MASTERTON. Members of the staff of the Bank of New Zealand, Masterton, assembled recently to farewell the manager, Mr W. A. Todd, on the eve of his retirement, and to extend a welcome to his successor. Mr E. J. Helfer (formerly of the Wellington branch). In making Mr Todd the presentation of an inscribed tobacco pouch the accountant. Mr J. F. Wesney, referred to the amicable association members of the staff had had with Mr Todd for many years past, and expressed the wish that both he and Mrs Todd would enjoy health and happiness for years to come. , , Fellow bankers in Masterton subsequently made a presentation to Mi Todd and extended a welcome to his successor.
