MAURICEVILLE

PATRIOTIC SOCIETY RAISING OF DISTRICT QUOTA. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Mauriceville branch of the Patriotic Society held a meeting in the local hall, Mr E. Cheetham presiding over a fair attendance. The meeting was held for the purpose of going into the question of raising the district quota (£300) for patriotic purposes. Messrs E. Cheetham and J. A. Baine were appointed to canvas the district for contributions. A function will be held this month in aid of the funds. Personal. . Mr Maurice Condon, of the staff of the Mauriceville Dairy Company, will leave for the territorial camp at Dannevirke on Tuesday.
