Mrs Ruth Norsikian, of Omaha, can collect a fair salary without working if she doesn’t talk above a whisper for the rest of her life. The lady is an attractive demonstrator for a tea company. She was injured in a car accident last year, and sued her employers for compensation, alleging that the accident had destroyed her singing voice and rendered her unfit for work, because she cannot talk above a whisper. The judge awarded her weekly compensation; but if she ever talks normally the payments cease.
