♦ GOLF CLUB ANNUAL TOURNAMENT. (“Times-Age” Special.) A successful tournament was held by the Featherston Golf Club over the weekend, the greens and fairways being in excellent order. The following are the results of the various competitions:— Saturday, medal round: Best gross. W. H. Rowles 77; best net, H. Lovegrove 66; second net, A. G. Rhodes 70. Sunday, stableford: W. Rowles Junr 39, 1, H. R. Bloxam, 37, 2; four-ball bogey, J. McCallum and A. W. White. 5 up. Monday, stableford: A. W. White and H. Lovegrove, equal first; four-ball best ball stableford. H. Bull and A. G. Rhodes, 37.

LONDON DISTRESS FUND WOOLSHED DANCE. A most successful dance was held in Mr J. Donald's woolshed at Tauherenikau on Monday night. Though the weather was very rough the attendance was good and the function proved a very enjoyable one. The music was supplied by Sergeant Bagg, of the Tauherenikau Camp, and Mr G. Hyland was M.C. The Tauherenikau ladies supplied the supper. The winners of the guessing competitions were: Sucking Pig, Mrs J. Donald; dinner, Mrs Hofen; box of chocolates, Mr Barrell. The sum of £3O will be added to the London Distress Fund as the result of the dance. Personal. The staff of the local Post Office met together yesterday to bid farewell to Mr J. Perfect. The Postmaster, Mr J. B. Davis, in making a presentation to Mr Perfect, wished him the best of luck. Clothing for Patriotic Guild. Four cases of clothing have been sent from the Featherston branch to the Lady Galway Patriotic Guild headquarters. The cases included garments from Western Lake.
