WAIRARAPA GOLF CLUB COMPETITIONS WINNERS. (“Times-Age" Special.) The Wairarapa Golf Club brought the season to a close on Saturday. The season’s competitions were won as follow:—Ladies: Club championship. Mrs J. Hornabrook; runner-up, Mrs D. C. Collins. Junior championship, Mrs B. Feast; runner-up, Mrs W. J. Pope. B grade championship, Miss C. Bargh; Victoria Cup and Shield, Mrs W. J. Pope; stableford competition. Miss C. Bargh; most improved player, Miss C. Bargh; senior eclectic. Miss B. Feast: junior eclectic. Miss B. Pope. Men’s competitions: Senior championship, D. C. Collins: runner-up, W. H. Rowles. Intermediate championship, B. Feast; runner-up. W. J. Pope. Junior championship, A. Barton; Victoria Cup, W. J. Pope; challenge shield, J. Hornabrook; closing day foursome, R. Watson and Miss Maunsell. SCHOOL COMMITTEE SUCCESSFUL DANCE. The School Committee’s dance which was held in the Anzac Hall on Saturday night, was very successful. The proceeds are to go towards improvements of the school grounds. There was a large attendance. The music was supplied by Udy’s Orchestra, and Mr Chas. Buck was M.C. Mrs C. J. Carlyon was in charge of the supper arrangements. RED CROSS SOCIETY EXAMINATION RESULTS. The following are the results of the examinations on home nursing held on October 7 in connection with the Pa-hautea-Kahutara sub-centre: Honours: Miss O. F. Stansell and Miss E. A. Collins: pass, Mesdames Juno, Sinclair, Hood and Miss Scadden. KICKED IN THE HEAD FARRIER INJURED. Last Thursday morning at the Tauherenikau Military Camp, Farrier W. J. Butler, was' kicked on the head by a Horse. Dr. Sharpe was summoned and found it necessary to insert several stitches. Personal. Privates J. Mcllroy, C. Shoebridge and P. Clark, of Trentham Camp, were 1 weekend visitors to Featherston.
