GOLD MINING
COMPANY RETURNS.. j Mossy Creek dredge reports a return of 340 z from 11,344 cubic yards in 128 hours. Alexander Mines, Limited,, reports the following gold returns for the month of September:—Battery department: 311 tons of ore crushed for 150 oz. Cyanide department: 189.93 tons of sands treated for 41oz. of bullion. Total estimated value: £1425. In addition, 5.5 tons of concentrates was saved, valued at £220. In estimating the above, gold has been taken at 160 s. per fine ounce.
