TINUI

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE BUSINESS AT MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs I. Speedy presided over a fair gathering of members of the Tinui Women’s Institute last week. The members decided to send Misses O. Owen and P. French as delegates to the meeting in Carterton on Friday. October 25. A most interesting lecture on Home Nursing was given by Mrs Brown. The roll call for the day was “My Best Holiday.” Members were very surprised to hear one member say she was on the ill-fated Tahiti when she was on her last voyage. The competitions for the day resulted: Best bloom. Miss Langdon 1, Mr? Street 2, Miss O. Owen 3; Christmas article. Mrs Beck 1, Miss O. Owen 2, Mrs Street 3; coconut slice. Mrs Street.
