STRUCK BY TRAIN
4 YOUTH KILLED IN CHRISTCHURCH. WHILE CROSSING LINE ON FOOT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Derek Christopher Barke?, aged 19, of Windemere Road, Papanui, was killed instantly when he was struck by a train at Papanui this morning. The accident happened when Barker was apparently about to cross the train line while on his way to work. The street does not cross the railway line at this point, but there is a track which is occasionally used.
