MINIATURE RIFLES SEASON BROUGHT TO A CLOSE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The final competitions for the season of the South Featherston Miniature Rifle Club resulted as follows:— Men: A. Gain, 98; C. Bain, 98; A. Yule, 97; D. Cross, 96; R. Jepsen, 92; M. Hodder, 96; R. Fenwick, 99; K. Fenwick. 96; D. Fenwick, 95; L. Rasmussen, 97. Ladies: Miss J. Burt, 94; Miss Tocker, 84; Mrs Willis, 95. Boys: A. Cross, 96; C. Rasmussen, 92. • The President’s Cup was won by A. Gain, with D. Fenwick second. Other trophies were won as follows: —Hodder Cup, K. Fenwick, with R- Jepsen second; Alan Donald Cup, Mrs Fenwick; Boys’ Cup, A. Cross, with A. Burt second. Championships: Men, A. Gain, with D. Fenwick runner-up. Ladies, Mrs Thurston, with Miss J. Burt runner-up. Boys, A. Burt, with R. Rasmussen runner-up. Euchre Party and Dance. There was a large attendance at the fortnightly euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall on Thursday night. The euchre prizes were won as follows:- —Ladies: Mrs Farrier, 1; Mrs A. Y. Burt, 2. Men: D. W. Burt, 1: Mr Rae, 2. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mr T. Matthews and Miss Shona Cross and Mr I. Jensen and Mrs Matthews. The music was supplied by Mr V. Boyd. Mrs Foss played an extra. Mr H. Graham carried out the duties of M.C. in an excellent manner.
