FEATHERSTON
VITAL STATISTICS FIGURES FOR SEPTEMBER. (“Times-Age” Special.) In September there were six births one marriage and one death registered in Featherston. Plenty of Food. Writing to friends in Featherston, residents of England state that there is plenty of butter, margarine, tea and meat as well as other essential foods available. There is. however, a shortage of sugar in England. Rainfall. There were 14 wet days in September, the total fall of rain being 4.28 inches. The maximum fall was 98 points on September 7. In September, 1939, 4.29 inches were registered.
