COURSING
DISPUTE IN HAWKE’S BAY. REFERRED TO WAIRARAPA CLUB. A dispute between the Napier and Hastings Coursing Clubs regarding racing dates was the subject of consideration at a meeting of the Wairarapa Coursing Club held in Masterton on Saturday night. The president of the Wairarapa Club, Mr J. Bradbury, presided over a large attendance of members. Mr Mcßae, vice-president of the National Coursing Association, and president of the Northern Hawke’s Bay Racing Greyhound Association, and Messrs G. Thompson and Woodhill of Napier were present. After hearing the case, the Wairarapa Club voted unanimously in favour of the Hastings Club. This decision will be submitted to the National Coursing Association, and it is expected that an amicable arrangement will be reached as a result. Other matters of interest to the sport were discussed. The visitors who were entertained at supper, yesterday, inspected the tin hare plant at Akura.
