MUTTON FRITTERS

A TASTY COLD DISH. Cut cold mutton into thin slices and season with salt and pepper. Chop any left-over vegetables finely, add a little chopped, parsley, a little grated onion, and form into cork shapes. Roll each shape in a slice of mutton, roll up and fasten with a toothpick. They may be rolled in thin slices of fat bacon as well, then dip in batter and fry until a golden brown. Drain well and serve with potato loaf.
